According to the market news, the carbon steel wire rod price in Taiwan had shown an increase at the beginning of 2020, mainly led by the strong international scrap and iron ore prices.
Quintain Steel Co., Ltd, one of the steelmakers in Taiwan, and Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd, also one of the steelmakers in Taiwan, both decided to raise their carbon steel wire rods’ selling prices for January.
However, although the price and demand seemed strong in this future month, whether the price could remain high or not still depended on the market demand for the first quarter of this year.
