Affected by the Sino-US trade war and sluggish demand of the US domestic market, Taiwanese API pipe suppliers had plummeted without orders available for two consecutive quarters.
However, due to the recent surge in domestic prices, once the price-up trend was stable, the oil drilling industry would actively begin purchasing, and it was expected to have a conclusion within near two weeks. Steel mills pointed out that the inventory of US customers was usually based on 3-3.5 months, but due to poor demand in the second half of the year, customers mostly pull higher inventory to 4.5-5 months.
