South Korean steel pipe exports in Nov impacted by US’ tariffs- The 20th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l tube & pipe Processing Equipment Exhibition

According to the statistics from Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), the exports of steel pipe in South Korea totaled around 185,000 tons in November this year, significantly dropping by 29.5% compared to the same month a year ago due to US’ tariffs policy. In addition, a part of exports in November included the export quotas to the US for next year, which showed that the exporting of steel pipe was still weak.
Among the exports in November, the exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and oil pipeline, which was the major goods for exporting, reduced by 31.5% and 67.3% year on year respectively. Most of steel pipe exports had a year-on-year decrease in November. Only the exports of ERW steel pipe were up by 19.9% year on year.
