Entering the seasonal peak season, the domestic market of South Korean steel pipes has recovered, reaching the highest performance in the second half of the year. However, considering the sluggish export market, the overall performance has yet to be improved.
In terms of the production volume of various steel pipes in October, due to the impact of the peak season, the buying activity of the domestic market has clearly recovered. Among them, the increase in the output of steel pipes for general piping and structural use was the most obvious, with an increase of 43.7% and 5.1% respectively compared with the same month of last year.
The output of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), which were mainly exported, has decreased by 36.3% compared with the same month a year ago.
