According to the report, the Chinese government decided to adopt trade measures in order to confront the US imposing the 25% tariff on imports of steel. It is expected to levy 15-25% tariff on up to 128 kinds of agricultural and stainless steel products imported from the US.
Among them, the Chinese government is going to levy a 15% tariff on stainless steel tubes coming from the US, including stainless steel tubes and alloy tubes accounted for 33 items.
Therefore, some market participants expressed that Chinese stainless steel welded pipes for industrial mostly rely on imports, if China imposes tariffs on imports from the US, they may purchase products from Japan and other countries.
