It is understood that the officials of the Jordanian Ministry of Water Conservancy and Irrigation signed an agreement with India''s Jindal SAW Group to build steel pipe production plants in southern Jordan, which are used for water conservancy projects and export.
The official stressed that the project was the first in Jordan and is expected to invest more than US$100 million in the first phase. It also said that Jordan was the first country in the region to implement a strategic water resource project to ensure additional water. The construction of the plant would provide a solid foundation for cooperation in water resources projects.
