Tube Products of India launches facility in China The new facilities of Tubular Precision Products (Suzhou) Company Ltd Tube Products of India has established a new company in China located in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province. The new company, named M/s Tubular Precision Products (Suzhou) Company Ltd (TPP), will be involved in the manufacture of precision cold drawn and welded steel tubes. The plant will have a capacity of 12,000 tons per annum in the first phase. Part of the US$2.2 billion Murugappa Group, Tube Products of India was established in 1955 and is the largest manufacturer of precision welded steel tubes in India. The products manufactured by TPP meet the requirements of the automotive Industry, with applications including tubing for shock absorbers, drive shafts, anti-vibration mountings, bushes, axles, steering systems, suspension systems and side impact beams. The current size range of TPP’s tubing includes electric resistance welded (ERW) tubes with an outer diameter of 25.4mm to 101.6mm and a wall thickness of 1mm to 6mm. The company’s range of cold drawn welded (CDW) tubes has an outer diameter of 15mm to 88.90mm and wall thickness of 0.80mm to 5mm. The company produces tubes that comply with stringent international standards including ASTM, BS, DIN, JIS, GB and other specific standards. The plant has been certified to ISO 9001 standards since April 2008.
