Brazilian CSN plans 27.5% price surge for automakers-The 20th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) said on November 8th that they were negotiating to rise 27.5% of steel price for domestic automotive makers next year.
This was the second time that Brazilian steel producer has tried to deliver their strong wish on price hiking with automotive industry. It was because of recovering from a deep recession while the steel industry was seeing a boom due to higher international price. Last month, another steel mill Usiminas also tried to increase 20% on pricing.
CSN did not disclose which automotive marker was under this time negotiation, however, the signification client for CSN was General Motors Co.
