Indonesia government to start steel, iron protection measures-The 19th China (Guangzhou ) Int¡¯l Casting product Exhibition

It is reported that Indonesia government will launch steel and iron protection measures. The action will be implemented from October 3rd.
The import duty for non-alloy steel is around US$214.7/ton from October 3rd, 2017 to October 2nd, 2018 period.
The protection measures are to protect the local steel and iron mills from the damage of cheap imports. The protected goods are including steel for width 600 mm and up, clad plated or coated with aluminum-zinc alloy for thickness up to 0.7 mm with HS code 7210.61.11.
