Ukraine Increase Imports Of Copper During January to August-2020 China(Guangzhou)Int’l Non-Ferrous Metal（Copper）Exhibition

Open4 Business reported that Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 24.1% in January to August 2019 compared with similar period of 2018, to USD 75.131 million. According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, exports of copper and copper products decreased 47.6% over the year to USD 58.229 million. In August, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of USD 11.752 million, and copper exports were estimated at USD 6.065 million.
In addition, in January to August 2019, Ukraine decreased imports of nickel and products made of it by 12.2%, to USD 58.301 million (imports in August were estimated at $5.468 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it increased 5.7%, to USD 261.639 million (USD 33.214 million). Imports of lead and products made of it increased by 1.5%, to USD 8.906 million (USD 1.426 million) and imports of tin and products made of it decreased 27.7%, to USD 2.354 million (USD 0.316 million). Imports of zinc and zinc goods decreased 18.3%, to USD 48.884 million (USD 7.016 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it decreased 26.1% in January-August 2019, to USD 69.697 million (USD 9.157 million in August alone), while shipments of lead abroad decreased 32.7%, to USD 16.843 million (USD 1.929 million). Exports of nickel fell by 40.2%, to USD 3.48 million (USD 0.213 million in August).
