This week the Council of the European Union announced the tariff-free quota of imported aluminum products for 2019, which was the products couldn''t be fulfilled by the EU aluminum mills in the domestic market.
The new quota will take effect from January 1st, 2019 to the end of December 31st, 2019.
Within the quota volume, the aluminum products could be imported from any exporting countries, including 2,000 tons of aluminum alloy wire at diameter 200-300mm, 1,000 tons of aluminum alloy wire at diameter 300-533mm, 5.9 million pieces of aluminum alloy compressor wheels of turbocharger at diameter 20-130mm and weight 5-800g), 3 million pieces of aluminum alloy pipe joints for mobile radiators, 1.5 million pieces of aluminum luggage boxes, and 600 tons of awning aluminum-manganese alloy sheets for shutter.
In addition, the free tariff quotas for raw materials included 80,000 tons of manganese blocks and 2,000 tons of manganese power.
