According to the CEO of Corporacion Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco), the company''s copper output reached 875,000 tons in the first half of the year, of which self-operated copper mine output was around 810,000 tons, up by 2% compared to the same period a year ago, and the remaining output was from other copper mines.
The CEO also said that Codelco expected its copper output will reach 1.7 million tons in 2018.
Although the China-US trade war has caused certain short-term risks for the global trade, the demand for copper in the world will remain strong in the future.
