In non-ferrous applications, copper accounted for 15% of air-conditioning production, 7% of electronic products, and 10% of transportation products; 80% of lead was batteries. The vast majority of China’s nickel demand depended on the imports.
Importing countries were mainly concentrated in Russia, Australia, and Canada. There was no trade friction between these countries and the United States. China''s zinc concentrates were mainly imported from Australia and Peru.
In January 2018, China imported 112,000 tons of zinc concentrates and 36,000 tons from Australia and Peru, accounting for 32.63% and 10.65% of the total imports respectively. There was no major trade friction with the United States.
