A senior official of the Zambian Ministry of Mines said that Zambian copper production would be increased to more than 1 million tons in 2018 on the basis of the stable electricity supply.
Zambia was the second largest copper producer in Africa and copper also accounted the largest share of the exports in this country. Zambian fiscal revenue was expected to be increased on higher copper prices.
An official from Zambian Ministry of Mines said that copper was one of the main raw materials for the manufacturing electric vehicles, so the market demand for copper was expected to remain high.
