According to the Chilean National Board of Copper (CODELCO ) announced that with the recent new investment projects and capacity expansion plans, Chile''s copper production is expected to increase significantly in 2028.
The commission said copper production in Chile would increase by 13.9% in 2028 compared with 2016, while new investment projects were expected to produce 6.32 million tons of copper, but copper production could fall by 31.5% if not put into production on schedule.
