ANADOLU AGENCY reported that Turkey has taken anti dumping action on imports of refined thin and thick copper tubes from Greece, following a recent investigation carried out regarding the issue.
The Economy Ministry''s "Communiqu¨¦ on the Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports" was published on the Official Gazette and entered into force.
Accordingly, the anti dumping investigation on refined copper tube imports from Greece, initiated by the Economy Ministry''s General Directorate of Imports, has been completed. It was found that imports of the Greek products were dumped and that led to a problem in domestic production. The decision stipulates that anti-dumping measures will be applied against the imports from Greece. The anti-dumping measure includes the imposition of 5% of CIF (cost, insurance, freight) on purchases from Halcor Metal Works SA and another 9% will be levied on imports from other Greek companies. With the amendment made in the communiquon the Implementation of Imports Surveillance, the customs value for plastic and its "polythene [methyl methacrylic]" products with a thickness of 10.5 millimeters (0.4 inches) or less was set as USD 10 per kilogram and USD 6 for those over 10.5 millimeters.
