PTI reported that copper and nickel weakened further at the non-ferrous metal market on December 9th 2016 following sustained stockists selling amidst lower demand from industrial users. While, lead recovered slightly owing to mild offtake from alloy industries.
Copper scrap heavy fell by INR 14 per kg to INR 383 from December 8th close at INR 397.
Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper wire bar and nickel dipped by INR 10 per kg each to INR 392, INR 370, INR 420 and INR 880 as against INR 402, INR 380, INR 430 and INR 890, respectively.
Copper sheet cuttings moved down by INR 8 per kg to INR 367 as compared INR 375 yesterday.
Copper utensils scrap edged down by INR 7 per kg to INR 358 from INR 365 previously.
However, lead inched up by a Re per kg to INR 151.
