Peru Cerro Verde copper mine strikes, affects the production- 2016 China(Guangzhou)Non-Ferrous Metals Exhibition

Freeport Macmorran copper and gold company, is located in Peru''s Cerro Verde copper mine, under the influence of a 48-hour strike. The strike began earlier on Friday last week.
Copper mine workers said their bonus this year disappeared, the workers have announced plans to strike. Strike action has affected parts of production.
In February this year, Cerro Verde copper mine produced 41,873 tons of copper, an increase of 180% compared to the same period last year, due to expansion of the mine operation.
