Reuters reported that Southern Copper Corp, controlled by Grupo Mexico, expects to
increase copper production by 22 percent in 2016 to 930,000 tonnes, Chief
Executive Oscar Gonzalez told Reuters on Tuesday on the sidelines of the annual
Cesco/CRU conference.
SCC is one of the largest integrated copper producers in the world. We produce
copper, molybdenum, zinc, lead, coal and silver. All of our mining, smelting and
refining facilities are located in Peru and Mexico and we conduct exploration activities
in those countries and Chile.
