Vietnam adopted a variety of measures to limit steel imports, but Vietnam¡¯s steel imports and imports volume didn¡¯t decline. Especially steel imports from China accounted for more than 60%.
According to Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) announced that the country to substantial increase on imports of steel tariffs, as well as to take other trade protection measures to protect domestic production.
VSA believed that although these measures were primarily aimed at Chinese steel, but because China''s domestic steel oversupply, many Chinese companies to accept lower sale prices. It will affect Chinese steel products into Vietnam market, the result is extremely difficult to do.
