In Rockford, Illinois, USA J & M Plating has done what few other heat treaters do which is to marry finishing, plating, sorting and heat treating all under one roof (Metex HT in Canada is another one which comes to mind), there are others but they are very definitely in the minority. We have mentioned J & M several times over the years, for example when they added a 6,000 pound/hour mesh belt line and again when they added batch IQ capacity so it is only fitting that we tell you about their latest investments. The company recently added another 5,000 feet and invested in a multimillion dollar zinc plating line. The Rockford area is the fastener capital of North America and J & M is making sure they are available to offer all the processes required to produce fasteners and small parts.
