Commercial heat treater H & M based in Akron, Ohio specializes in what they call Black Nitriding a process which is perhaps better known as Ferritic Nitrocarburizing (or FNC). In certain applications such as gun barrels it is a process which is hard to beat and which has made H & M a successful and growing venture. So much so that the company is in the process of setting up a brand new location in Glendale, Arizona at the request of one of their larger customers which is why we mention them today.
