According to statistics released by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE), the country’s steel export values totaled US$3.198 billion in July, rising by 22.4% year on year.
Meanwhile, in the first seven months of this year, the country’s steel export values totaled US$20.66 billion, rising by 9.2% year on year.
In terms of import, Japan remained the largest supplier of iron and steel products to South Korea, with 4.21 million tons shipped during the period. But the figure represented a 2.3% decrease from the same time a year ago.
