The Ukrainian government and Primetals Technologies have signed a letter of intent for rebuilding the Ukrainian steel industry.

Earlier this year, during the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in London, Primetals Technologies joined the Ukrainian government¡¯s platform for the green recovery of the metals industry in Ukraine. The conference was inaugurated by UK prime minister, Rishi Sunak, and the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Iron and steel is Ukraine¡¯s second leading industry following agriculture, having contributed to 10% of the country¡¯s GDP pre-war. The platform for recovering the steel industry in Ukraine brings together major players in the iron and steel sphere to support the reconstruction. The country¡¯s geographical position will make it possible to feed European and global supply chains with low-carbon-emissions feedstock and steel products.

As a first step toward the agreement, Primetals Technologies will contribute to a feasibility study scheduled for completion in 2024.

¡°We are very pleased to support the Ukrainian government for the recovery of the Ukrainian steel industry,¡± said Dr. Alexander Fleischanderl, head of green steel and senior vice president at Primetals Technologies. ¡°The steel plants in Ukraine have long played an important role on a European and a global level, and the iron and steel sector is central to Ukraine¡¯s economy. With the projected investments targeting the entire value chain, Ukraine is poised to become a global hub for green ironmaking and steelmaking.¡±

It is estimated that $20¨C40 billion worth of investments will be needed to establish a green iron and steel value chain in Ukraine. These investments would encompass iron ore beneficiation and pelletizing, clean power and hydrogen production, green ironmaking and steelmaking facilities, and related infrastructure ½ðÊôÕ¹-Ò±½ðÕ¹-2024¹ãÖݾÞÀ˹ú¼Ê½ðÊôôßÒ±½ð¹¤ÒµÕ¹ÀÀ»á-¾ÞÀËÕ¹ÀÀ-2024 China(Guangzhou)Int¡¯l Metal &Metallurgy Exhibition 2024½ðÊôÕ¹£¬2024½ðÊôÕ¹»á£¬2024½ðÊôÕ¹ÀÀ»á£¬2024¹ãÖݽðÊôÕ¹£¬2024¹ãÖݽðÊôÕ¹»á£¬2024¹ã¶«½ðÊôÕ¹£¬2024¹ã¶«½ðÊôÕ¹»á£¬2024Öйú½ðÊôÕ¹£¬2024Öйú½ðÊôÕ¹»á£¬2024½ðÊô²©ÀÀ»á£¬2024Ò±½ðÕ¹£¬2024Ò±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024Ò±½ðÕ¹ÀÀ»á£¬2024¹ãÖÝÒ±½ðÕ¹£¬2024¹ãÖÝÒ±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024¹ã¶«Ò±½ðÕ¹£¬2024¹ã¶«Ò±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024ÖйúÒ±½ðÕ¹£¬2024ÖйúÒ±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024Ò±½ð²©ÀÀ£¬2024¸ÖÌúÕ¹£¬2024¸ÖÌúÕ¹»á£¬2024¸ÖÌúÕ¹ÀÀ»á£¬2024¹ãÖݸÖÌúÕ¹£¬2024¹ãÖݸÖÌúÕ¹»á£¬2024¹ã¶«¸ÖÌúÕ¹£¬2024¹ã¶«¸ÖÌúÕ¹»á£¬2024Öйú¸ÖÌúÕ¹£¬2024Öйú¸ÖÌúÕ¹»á£¬2024¸ÖÌú²©ÀÀ»á£¬2024½ðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹£¬2024½ðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024½ðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹ÀÀ»á£¬2023¹ãÖݽðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹£¬2024¹ãÖݽðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024¹ã¶«½ðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹£¬2024¹ã¶«½ðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024Öйú½ðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹£¬2024¹ú½ðÊôÒ±½ðÕ¹»á£¬2024½ðÊôÒ±½ð²©ÀÀ»á-steel Industry Exhibition, steel expo, 2024 steel exhibition, 2024 steel expo, China steel exhibition, China steel expo, steel Industry event, steel event, 2024 steel event, China steel event, metal Industry Exhibition, metal expo, 2024 metal exhibition, 2024 metal expo, China metal exhibition, China metal expo, metal Industry event, metal event, 2024 metal event, China metal event, metallurgy Industry Exhibition, metallurgy expo, 2024 metallurgy exhibition, 2024 metallurgy expo, China metallurgy exhibition, China metallurgy expo, metallurgy Industry event, metallurgy event, 2024 metallurgy event, China metallurgy event
