The Indonesian government expected to launch a new regulation on scrap imports next month. The government agency which was responsible for supervising the implementation of the situation has resumed related operations earlier last week after the comprehensive suspension of inspections on November 22nd.
It was understood that the government continued to conduct the related policies in order to implement the scrap ban. The latest policy has involved the industrial raw material regulation of harmful and toxic scrap imports.
Among them, partial metals would be classified as scrap and must comply with new import regulations, such as iron, aluminum, and copper.
