Spanish steel industry association UNESID and industrial organizations called on energy and markets regulatory authority to reduce natural gas tariff. Spanish gas tariff was 45% higher than the average of other countries in Europe. The tariffs would be reviewed in these few months.
According to a joint statement from Spanish Association of Petroleum Products Operators (AOP) and a chemical group Feiquem on Monday (May 20th), Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) started to narrow the gap when they reviewed gas tariffs for industry from 2020.
