Recently, Tangshan city and its surrounding areas were suffered from pollution, and relevant environmental authorities have taken measures to control against local steel mills.
It was understood that steel enterprises in Tangshan area were basically in accordance with the government regulations, and recently seven steel mills have scheduled blast furnace maintenance, with an additional maintenance volume of about 6,850m3, affecting daily production of about 18,800 tons of molten iron.
At present, the capacity utilization of blast furnace in Tangshan is 64.09%, dropping by 3.97%. In the short term, the capacity utilization will be still declining. In addition, some steel enterprises in Qinhuangdao area have also received the production limit documents, and mentioned to implement the regulation strictly, reaching a reduction of blast furnace in steel industry, sintering stoppage, and the limited production of blast furnace at 30%.
