US scrap suppliers postpone offering quotes to Taiwan--The 15th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Metal &Metallurgy Exhibition

It’s reported that the US scrap suppliers postponed offering quotes to the Taiwanese buyers this week due to Christmas holiday.
Last week, the transaction prices of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan were at US$375/ton CFR.
Meanwhile, it’s expected that the US suppliers might hike scrap export prices further after the Christmas holiday.
However, the Taiwanese steelmakers expected the selling prices of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to fall to US$370/ton since the New Taiwanese dollars have depreciated against the US dollars recently.
