According to statistics
released by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (Kosa), the country’s imports
of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 305,200 tons in October, falling by 21% year
on year and decreasing by 8% month on month.
In October, China’s HRC
exports to Korea totaled 110,500 tons, slumping by 49% year on year.
In
the January-October period, the country’s HRC imports amounted to 3.8 million
tons, decreasing by 12% year on year. The Chinese HRC exports to Korea dropped
by 27% year on year to 1.34 million tons.
