It was reported that Thai steel pipe already got the US 25% tariff exemption.
As a direct result of the US tariffs, Thailand will lose nearly 383,000 tons of steel exports (mainly for steel pipes, cold-rolled and galvanized steel sheets).
Thailand has been demanding trade privileges since April, mainly to help Thai exporters compete in the US and global markets.
In addition, Thailand was looking forward to a permanent exemption for the imports of steel and aluminum.
