US hot rolled coil imports rise by 41.9% - The 19th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

According to the statistics from US Department of Commerce(DOC),hot rolled coil/plate imports to the US totaled around 223,000 tons in March, 2018, rose by 41.9% compared with last month and rose by 43.9% compared with last year.
The total amount of hot rolled coil/plate imports about US$151 million, increased by around US$47 million compared with last month, increased around US$55 million compared with last year.
US’s hot rolled coil mostly imported from Canada, and it totaled around 104,800 tons for March, rose dramatically around 30,000 tons compared with last month; rose around 26,400 tons compared with last year.
