It was reported that Japanese Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) announced to raise stainless steel wire rod surcharges by ￥1,000/ton for Mar-May contract orders.
Due to the higher raw materials and energy costs, as well as other costs, NSSMC decided to increase stainless steel wire order prices, including 300 series and 400 series stainless steel wire rod prices.
Meanwhile, the company will hold its base prices unchanged.
