Chile''s Anti-Price Distortion Commission (CNDP) announced to impose the final anti-dumping duty on high carbon steel bars imports from China.
Chile initiated the anti-dumping investigation on the above products from China from January 31st, 2017 based on the complaint filed by a local steel company CAP Acero, and would begin to impose this anti-dumping duty from November 22nd with a valid period of one year.
Besides, Chile decided to impose a countervailing duty on China¡¯s high carbon steel bars. The duty rate for Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel Works Co., Ltd. was 8.2%, that for Dongbei Special Steel Group Co., Ltd. was 9.8%, and that for Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. and other China¡¯s exporters was 22.9%.
