The European Commission has recently proposed to impose a fixed-price of tariffs on hot rolled coil and plate imports from Russia, Ukraine, Brazil and Iran to replace the policy of minimum import price.
According to a preliminary draft, the fixed-price of tariffs based on tons on the imports of hot rolled coil and plate from four countries mentioned above would be a clear trade protection measure.
