One Employee Dies at Schaumburg steel Plant-The 21st China (Guangzhou)Int’l Fastener & Equipment Exhibition

Chicago Tribune reported that an employee of a Schaumburg metal supply company died on September 26 morning while working on machinery and a death investigation has been launched. The man was identified as Adrian Gomez, 26, of the 100 block of Dartmoor Drive in northwest suburban Crystal Lake, according to Natalia Derevyanny, a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead at 10:40 AM at the Earle Jorgensen Co., which is also known as EMJ Metals, 1900 Mitchell Drive in Schaumburg, she said.
The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration also is investigating the fatal workplace accident, according to Scott Allen, a spokesman for the agency’s Chicago office.
