According to the announcement from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) on August 14th, the US government would start an investigation in whether the import certain corrosion-resistant products (CORE) from Taiwan and China used Costa Rica, Guatemala, Malaysia, South Africa and the UAE as a middle station for precessing to avoid the dumping behavior.
The investigation included the anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) on Chinese CORE and the AD on Taiwanese CORE.
The reason was because the total CORE shipment changes from Costa Rica, Guatemala, Malaysia, South Africa and the UAE after the AD and CVD investigation on Taiwan and China had been started by the US government, increasing by 29,210%, 35,944%, 151,216%, 629%, and 5,571% respectively.
