It was reported that the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) recently issued a notice which indicated that it made a final ruling on the imports of hexagon screws under HS code 73181539 and other products safeguard measures. It decided to levy a safeguard duty at rate 50.54%.
In addition, Australia has launched an anti-dumping investigation on Chinese solid base angle steel products. On February 26th, 2019, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued that the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on the products involved from China based on the request from Galintel Pty Ltd., a domestic company in Australia.
The dumping investigation period in this case was the whole year of 2018, and the damage investigation period started from January 1st, 2015.
According to the filing notice, the products under investigation were listed under 7216.61.0057, 7228.70.0012, 7308.30.0007 and 7308.90.0064 in the Australian customs code system. The products involved didn''t include T-shaped steel, flat steel, perforated steel and hot-rolled section steel.
The relevant materials should be submitted by April 4th, 2019. The preliminary finding was expected to be made 60 days after the initiation of the case and will be finalized on June 17th.
