It is reported that Mr. Ratan Jindal, the Chairman & Managing Director of Jindal Stainless in India, said to the media in Ahmedabad that the Indian stainless steel industry needs strong government support by imposing import and export restrictions on both the semi-finished and finished stainless steel goods.
In the recent years, the stainless steel industry in India has developed far beyond its expectation of 30,000 crore of bank exposure.
The material is now not only made to use in the kitchens of the country, it is also widely used on many kinds of applications. The government is lacking the guidance over the material.
