According to data released by China’s customs, China’s imports of nickel ore and
concentrate totaled 7.82 million tons in November, rising by 6.4% from a month
ago and increasing by 14.6% year on year.
In November, the imports from
Indonesia soared by 16.9% year on year to 4.79 million tons, driven by a rush of
shipments from Indonesia by the end of this year since the Indonesian government
set a ban on nickel ore exports starting January 12nd, 2014.
