Chinese steel coke industry, in its correspondence with demand for coking coal, had shown in a stable move up. The final outcome of coking coal demand would be enhanced with the continued stabilization of Chinese powerful economy and the steel industry stayed in a steady development.
The manager of East China Company of Shanxi Coking Coal Group Co., Ltd., Xue Wenxu, indicated that the Shanxi Provincial Government had issued a series of environmental protection policies since August 15th, including boosting infrastructure and liquidity easing expectations as well as the diesel vehicles
remediation of joint enforcement actions, which must make the cost of coal transportation go up.
In particular, environmentally limited production will be the biggest driver of its price increase. In addition, the supply of coking coal had not been raised significantly in China and its enrichment in crude steel production will inevitably lead to an increase in demand for coking coal as well.
