It’s reported that the
Korean steelmaker Hyundai Steel bid ¥37,000~¥37,500/ton FOB for the Japanese H2
scraps last week, rising by ¥1,000~¥1,500/ton from its previous purchasing
prices.
Besides, Hyundai Steel purchased Shindaichi scraps and P&S
scrap from Japan with prices of ¥41,500/ton FOB and ¥39,000/ton FOB
respectively.
Meanwhile, it’s learned that Japan’s H2 scrap export prices
to Korea have surged by ¥4,500/ton since the first week of
October.
Furthermore, industry sources predicted that Japan’s scrap
export prices might rise again in the near future due to tight
supply
