South Africa''s ferrochrome supplier announced to sign the chrome export contract of 165 cents/lb for the first quarter, 2017 with European mills. It hiked 55 cents/lb compare to the fourth quarter in 2016.
The increase reached to 50%. Stimulated by the sharp rise of chrome and nickel, Taiwanese stainless steel mills are sure to rise the price for first quarter of 2017. The chrome price will be supportive due to the electricity shortage in South Africa. -The 18th China(Guangzhou)Int''l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition
