Vietnam to probe dumping of coated steel sheets from Chia and South Korea.-The 17th China£¨Guangzhou£©Int¡¯l Sheetmetal machinery, Forging, Stamping and Setting Equipment Exhibition

It is reported that Vietnam has launched antidumping probe against coated steel sheets imported from China and South Korea. According to the Vietnam Competition Authority (VCA), the probe is applicable to the period from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015.
On December 24, 2015, VCA received appeals from local steelmakers: China Steel Sumikin Vietnam JSC, Phuong Nam Co. Ltd., Nam Kim Steel JSC and Dong A Steel JSC, urging the implementation of measures to prevent imported coated steel sheets that being sold at a cheap prices into Vietnam.
In 2015, China exported about 1.6 to 1.8 million tons to Vietnam, covering nearly half of the total local production.
