Rodex Fasteners Corp., one of the major stainless steel wire and screw manufacturers in Taiwan, reported that its revenue in the first quarter was up to NT$649 million, increasing by 26% year on year, and profit after tax totaled NT$141 million, a year-on-year hike of 412%. The earnings per share (EPS) was NT$2.33, which hit a record high in its single quarter, and the EPS was also the highest compared with other listed steel companies in the first quarter.
Last year, Rodex''s revenue was NT$2.428 billion, up by 14.5% year on year. Meanwhile, the profit after tax was NT$248 million, skyrocketing by 112% compared to 2020.
In April, the company''s revenue was NT$223 million, increasing by 99% compared to the same period of last year and rising by 0.43% month on month.
In the first four months of 2022, the revenue totaled NT$869 million, a year-on-year increase of 20.94%. The company''s performance was expected to be positive for the rest of 2022.
