According to the view of Hyundai Motor, one of the automobile manufacturers from South Korea, the microchip shortage situation might be gradually eased from the next half of 2022.
The shortage of microchips has caused Hyundai Motor to not achieve its original sales goal in 2021, lower than 3.7% from the target.
Benefiting from the increasing supply of microchips, Hyundai Motor upgraded its new goal for automobile sales in 2022, which came to 7.47 million units, increased by nearly 8% from last year.
