It is reported that South Korea''s main blast furnace steel mills announced in May, to begin the maintenance schedule, while the market focus on changes, when the hot-rolled supply reduction, whether to help the market to rebound, which is worth observing further.
However. Posco announced to start its No1 hot rolling mill maintenance for 30 days which will be carried out from May 14th to June 12nd, and it is expected to affect the output of 300,000 tons.
In addition, Hyundai Steel is also expected to start of a regular maintenance from May 7th, which will affect about 100,000 tons of production estimated. There two mills maintenance in May will impact about 400,000 tons of capacity, South Korean domestic hot-rolled supply will be reduced substantially in near future.
