India¡¯s local hot-rolled coil prices held steady in last week, after three consecutive weeks declined, ex-factory prices were approximately at US$590/ton, while India¡¯s steel market demand has recovered in the Western and Northern areas.
But traders also said that it is understood that most all large steel sheet products inventory remained high, so the price expectations are not high. Although steel mills have cancelled US$10~15 $/ton discounts, but since the new deal only in a few areas, so prices remained under downward pressure.
